Chiropractic is a health care profession that is natural, hands-on and drug- free aimed at restoring optimal health and wellness. Chiropractors are highly trained on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems and how they impact your health. Dr. Schroeder is passionate about helping people not only get out of pain, but to get back their function and be able to accomplish whatever goals they might have!

Dr. Schroeder makes sure that all of her patients get the individualized care that they need and deserve. She utilizes the most innovative tools and techniques that are safe and gentle, aimed to reduce nervous system irritation and restore mobility. She also provides patients the tools and education needed to improve their health, and be able to maintain that health for the rest of their lives.

Dr. Schroeder has a unique background. Her first career choice was working as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for six years before deciding to enter the chiropractic field. Working as a PICU nurse, she became frustrated that she couldn’t do more to help her patients at times. A lower back injury landed her in a chiropractor’s office, and immediately she knew she had found her calling. Within one year she was back in school, eager to be able to help patients using only her hands to correct their problems, not just mask their symptoms.

Dr. Schroeder has been on the other side- as a patient, debilitated by lower back and neck pain, and wanting answers! She understands how frustrating it can be to see provider after provider and still not have a solution to your problems. Many people find Dr. Schroeder after already trying many other medical providers and are excited to learn that there is hope for them, and that they don’t have to suffer any longer.  If Dr. Schroeder can’t help you she will be the first to refer you to another provider.

Dr. Schroeder studied chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California, graduating as class salutatorian with magna cum laude honors. Dr. Schroeder was an active member of the Sports Council Program, where she was able to treat a variety of athletes around the Bay Area of California. She treated ultra-marathon runners and rugby players, to motocross athletes and weekend warriors. It was here that she fine-tuned her skills to help athletes maximize performance while minimizing injury.

Dr. Schroeder has spent time working in private practices and at a Veteran's Affairs clinic as a chiropractor. Her passion is empowering her patients to take their health into their own hands to improve their quality of life.

In her spare time, Dr. Schroeder loves traveling and spending time outdoors, including hiking, biking, running and snowboarding. She also enjoys crossfit and yoga classes. She has competed in a number of athletic races, including Half Marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks and a Spartan Beast Race.

Dr. Schroeder is Webster Technique certified, which provides extra training in caring for prenatal, pregnant and post-natal women. She also has her FMT I Rocktape certification, and utilizes Cold Laser, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), Activator, Myofascial Release Therapy, and Thompson and Diversified Techniques among others to assist her in treating her patients. The following are additional possible benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy and post-partum: decreased soreness, improved posture, optimal fetal positioning, shorter labor and delivery time, reduced risk of breech baby, reduced risk of C-Section, easier recovery post-partum

Chiropractic Adjustment

or a manipulation, is a therapeutic procedure aimed at restoring motion to a joint that has become restricted due to tissue injury. Tissues are often injured from a traumatic event, like a car accident or a sports injury, or from slumped posture while sitting at the computer or even from lifting improperly. When tissues are injured, they undergo physical and chemical changes that create pain and inflammation, which leads to a decreased function. Manipulation of an involved joint helps to restore normal motion, break up scar tissue and decrease muscle tension and tightness to help with the healing process.
